• Orders secured for transmission uprate projects, high-performance conductors and EHV cables during the period April 2022- December 2022

New Delhi, 23 January 2023: Sterlite Power, a leading power transmission developer and solutions provider has bagged multiple orders worth ~INR 3,800 Crores across its ‘Solutions’ business unit in the domestic and international markets during the first three quarters FY’23, a growth of 90% when compared to same period of FY’22.

The new order wins are for uprate of existing power transmission lines for 132 kV, 220 kV and 400kV of Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) and state utilities like Meghalaya Power Transmission Corporation Limited (MePTCL), and West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL). For Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL), the company will supply and install OPGW for fiberization of the state’s existing transmission network for 66 kV, 132 kV, 220 kV and 400kV. Uprate and upgrade of existing transmission networks helps in maximizing power carrying capacities of existing transmission corridors, ensuring faster, economical, and sustainable means of solving energy delivery challenges.

In Products business, the company has bagged prestigious orders for conductors and OPGW from large customers in India, Americas, SAARC, and MEA region. Orders include supplies for major green energy transmission projects in India and abroad. The company has also acquired strategic orders for the supply of Extra High Voltage (EHV) cables to state utilities like Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RVPNL). The company has also been marking its presence in Turnkey EHV Cable Projects including Substation at various Utilities i.e., UPPTCL, OPTL & MPPTCL.

Under its infrastructure business unit in which company has 6 Transmission projects under development including recently won inter-state transmission system projects in J&K as well as North-East India which will play a pivotal role in connecting clean and green power to the national grid. The Kishtwar transmission project is based in Jammu & Kashmir and comprises a 400/132kV GIS substation at Kishtwar and 400 kV Kishenpur – Dulhasti LILO (Line in Line out) transmission line. The Nangalbibra – Bongaigaon transmission project involves construction of ~300 ckt km of transmission lines and a greenfield substation with 320 MVA transformation capacity across the North-Eastern terrain of Assam and Meghalaya. The company is also building its largest green energy transmission corridor in Gujarat, aimed at meeting India’s renewable energy target of installing 500 GW. This transmission corridor will connect the wind energy zones of Bhuj to the load centers in Maharashtra and Gujarat. In addition to all the above projects, the company is also constructing some of the projects of national importance such as Mumbai Urja Marg Limited, Goa Tamnar Transmission Project, and Udupi Kasargode Transmission Limited.
