The government must focus on providing better incentives to boost the earnings of exporters in this year’s Budget to be tabled in Parliament on 1 February, Manish Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer of Sterlite Power Solutions, an arm of transmission giant Sterlite Power, has said.

“The government should provide higher incentives for export businesses. It needs to facilitate subsidies and incentives on technology based new products which the Indian companies are bringing into the country from outside,” Agarwal told ETEnergyworld in an interview.

Sterlite Power Solutions is one of the four business divisions of Sterlite Power which had a revenue of Rs 3,571 crore last financial year, according to its latest annual report.
