Pravin Agarwal anchors Sterlite Power as Chairman and Sterlite Tech as Vice Chairman. He has a rich industry experience of over 25 years, having been closely involved with the Sterlite Group's operations in India since its inception and been instrumental in the growth of its telecom and power businesses. He has served as a Non-Executive Director of Sterlite Technologies Ltd since January 29, 2004. Mr Agarwal holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce. His experience in general management and commercial matters span more than three decades.
Pratik Agarwal is the Chief Executive Officer of Sterlite Power. He has held this position since June 2016; previously he was the vice-chairman of Sterlite Grid, and also director of the Infrastructure business for the Vedanta Group.
A Wharton graduate and an MBA from London Business School, Pratik has over 10 years of experience in building core infrastructure assets in India. He founded the Vedanta Group’s infrastructure business in 2009 and built it up to levels where it now has significant investments in ports, power transmission and broadband networks, with total assets under management worth US$ 2.5 billion.
The unlimited potential of power transmission and the challenge of bringing light to the remotest corners of the country are the cornerstones of Pratik’s abiding interests. He invests his time in devising strategy, guiding policy and creating innovative financing and construction solutions to set new standards in energy delivery. Leading innovations pioneered by Pratik include first FDI in the sector, use of aerial technologies like helicranes and heli-stringing for ahead-of-schedule project completion, and listing of the sector’s first Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT).
Pratik Agarwal is also the Chairman of the Electric Power Transmission Association (EPTA) and FICCI Transmission Task Force.
Dr. Anand Agarwal serves as Director of Sterlite Power Grid Ventures Limited. He also runs Sterlite Technologies Limited as CEO & Whole-time Director. He joined Sterlite in 1995 and has held various positions, including manufacturing, quality assurance and business development. Prior to joining Sterlite, he worked with Siemens.
Dr. Agarwal holds a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur and Master's Degree and PhD in Materials Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA.
Lalit Narayan Tandon is an Independent Director. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has been associated with companies such as Vedanta Aluminium Ltd., Sterlite Industries (India) Ltd., Bharat Aluminium Company Ltd. and Hindustan Machine Tools Ltd.
Avaantika Rajesh Kakkar is an Independent Director. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in law from Indian Law Society’s Law College. She has over 15 years of experience as a lawyer in structured finance, foreign direct investment in real estate, private equity and on market and off market acquisition transactions and joint ventures. She has previously worked at Udwadia & Udeshi, Advocates and Solicitors, in their general corporate advisory practice, and Nishith Desai Associates later moved in their corporate and commercial practice. At present, she is a partner and co-head of the competition and anti-trust laws practice of Khaitan & Co., Advocates and Solicitors.
Arun Todarwal, partner of Todarwal & Todarwal, a Mumbai-based ﬁrm of Chartered Accountants, is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has a rich and varied experience spanning over three decades in management consultancy, finance and audit.
